ICC World Cup Cricket Match 2007

Australia vs Zimbabwe Warm UP Match at St. Vincent

AUS vs ZIM Warm-Up: Australia compile 290-7 against Zimbabwe

World champions Australia struggled to impose themselves on an enthusiastic but limited Zimbabwe attack and a slow, low pitch in the first of their two World Cup warm-up matches on Tuesday.
All-rounder Shane Watson, opening the innings with reserve wicketkeeper Brad Haddin, struck 81 and Michael Clarke looked in good touch, surviving a catching chance to reach 82 to take Australia to 290 for seven from their 50 overs.

Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat in the reigning champions opening World Cup warm-up match against Zimbabwe at Arnos Vale on Tuesday.
Australia decided to give 12 of their squad a game, omitting Adam Gilchrist who'd only arrived here Monday following the birth of his third child, and the injured duo of Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds from their 15-man squad. Zimbabwe opted to give 13 of their 15-man squad a run out in what was also their first World Cup warm-up match.
